Filter Selection
Five Filter Types
G, S, C, D and V filter types cover general protection, dust filtration, high-efficiency coalescing and activated carbon vapour removal.
Complete Air Quality
Filter Placement Matters
Filters are normally selected as part of the full air treatment line: compressor, receiver, pre-filter, dryer and post-filter. The correct sequence depends on the target ISO 8573-1 air quality class.
- Pre-filter before dryer protection
- Post-filter for air quality polishing
- Activated carbon where vapour and odour removal are required
Filter Types
| Type | Purpose | Typical Placement |
|---|---|---|
| G filter | General purpose coalescing protection for solid particles, liquid water and oil aerosol | After compressor / water separator |
| S filter | Particulate filter for dust protection | After dryer |
| C filter | High-efficiency coalescing filter for particles, liquid water and oil aerosol | After G filter |
| D filter | High-efficiency particulate filter for dust protection | After S filter or adsorption dryer |
| V filter | Activated carbon filter for oil vapour and hydrocarbon odour removal | After upstream filtration |
